| MORE ABOUT THE SUN |
| The sun light striking your skin
produces vitamin D in your body which in turn helps your body absorb the required minerals to prevent disease. The sun also goes through the eyes affecting the pituitary gland and regulates things like balance, appetite, sleep, body temperature, sexual function and water balance. The sun also affects the veins near the surface of the skin (that is why the veins are near the surface) with hemoglobin (the component of the blood that carries oxygen). In short, your body cannot function properly without the proper amount of sunlight. A recent study has shown that two little sunlight can cause skin cancer. The Hunzas
work in the sun all day, live to be well over a 100 years old, and do not get skin cancer (their skin is very alkaline because they consume over 70,000 mg of calcium a day from their water). Artificial light is a poor substitute for sunlight. Although I am selling the idea that we need lots of sunlight I am not saying to go out in the middle of the day and get sunburned. Common sense prevails. Sun burning the skin is never productive. If you sunburn easily get your sun in the early morning or the late afternoon.
