MORE ABOUT WATER
Stomach pains, migraines, asthma, and even arthritis may all be symptoms of dehydration that could easily be cured by drinking a few more glasses of water. Does it work? You only have to turn on the tap to find out. If water is a natural medication for a variety of health conditions this may be the greatest health discovery of all time. Doctors have been trying to silence our dehydration signals with chemical products. Saliva is produced even if the rest of the body is dehydrated, so a dry mouth is the last sign of dehydration. If chronic dehydration has existed for many years (common with many older people) damage to the kidneys may exist. One should make sure that the kidneys are producing enough urine when increasing water intake. Dark colored urine is a sign of dehydration. Urine should be almost colorless to light yellow.

Ordinary tap water, unless there is proof of its being contaminated, is a good source of water. Tap water is protected from bacteria by the use of chlorine. To get rid of the chlorine just fill an open top pitcher with water and let it stand for for a while and the chlorine will dissipate. A lot of restaurants fill glasses with water and ice ahead of time so that when they serve the water it will taste better. If you are still worried about the quality of your tap water, buy a water filter.

Note from the author: This is not a prescription. This is what I am doing. Now that I am drinking eight to ten glasses of water every day I am adding some salt to my diet (about half a teaspoon). Low salt intake will cause a build-up of acidity in some cells. High acidity in the cells can damage the DNA structure and leave the cells open to cancer (cancer patients have low pH and salt levels).
